Surprised delight at the fit!
I have a difficult time shopping due to my body type--short waisted and apple shaped. Normally I avoid horizontal stripes, and anything fitted, as the waistline usually falls at my hips. Online, I didn't like the design, but in person this dress was lovely. The stripes are subtle and the texture adds character that hides body flaws. The dress fits more like a sheath, so the waist could be where I needed it to be, and the tie belt looks great moved up under the breast (Umpire). Paired with a navy jacket, it looks stunning on me. I am so glad i tried it on. I even am able to wear a size smaller than I thought I would have to. Very pleased!! The horizontal stripes do not make me look wider.
