supportive and smoothing yet not binding, great for the price
I have several shapers like this from various brands, and Dress Barn's are the most comfortable. They don't bind and don't make getting dressed or going to the ladies room into an olympic sport. I agree with the other post that they can roll down from the top, but I solve that by tucking the top under my bra (I am short and short-waisted so taller women may not be able to use this trick). One note, these are more of a "smoother" than a "reducer" so if you are trying to look smaller or fit into an outfit that is a bit tight, you may want to purchase a more confining support garment. But if you just want a comfortable, breathable foundation that smooths out the rolls, this will do nicely and at a very good price

I weear these almost every day- effective and comfortable, too!
I wear a size 12 and have several of these in size large in my closet at all times. I don't wear a skirt without this shape wear, ever! The waist is very comfortable, and no only does this garment stay in place, but it holds everything underneath in its place!
I'm ordering two more to always make sure I have them on hand!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Best brand and design I've found so far!

Will Do In A Pinch
I purchased a pair last minute to wear under a fitted dress. I found the top of the shorts comes up to my ribs and tends to roll down after a while (creating a bulge). Fairly good support in the upper thigh. While they do not provide the support of other more expensive brand name shapers they will do in a pinch.
